Message You're better off running a LOWER rated fuel then a race gas for emissions testing.

If you are on the edge (or failed and need a retest)->

*check your 02 sensors for proper function, ohm test your injectors, do a power balance test.

*check for coolant leaks or bubbles (if the car is over heating it will effect test results)

run the tank low on fuel.

roll the timing back to ~13 (the spec is 15 +/- 2, some stations will check timing prior to testing)

fill w. a few gallons of 87oct

take emissions test.

when you pass top off the tank w. premium fuel (91 or 93 if you can get it) and reset timing to 15.
